about
Death & Taxes was Brandtson’s second EP, it was produced by Ed Rose and released by Deep Elm Records in April of 2003. Sitting between full length releases Dial in Sounds and Send Us a Signal, the album highlights the bands hallmark soaring dual vocal harmonies and knife sharp hooks.
Steadfast Records is thrilled to present Death & Taxes for the first time on deluxe limited edition vinyl and cassette. The album includes two bonus tracks ‘Dead Animals’ recorded during the Death & Taxes sessions and previously released on Brandtson/ Camber/ Seven Storey Mountain split. And ‘Optimist Club’ recorded during the ‘Trying to Figure Each Other Out’ sessions and previously released on ‘Deep Elm Unreleased No. 1’.
Remastered for vinyl and cassette by Adam Boose at Cauliflower Audio. The vinyl is packaged in a beautiful hi-gloss UV coated jacket and includes a printed inner sleeve and 11” insert with live and studio photos. Available on three gorgeous variants; Opaque grass green, Transparent Green w/Black Splatter (ltd to 100), Clear with Green, Yellow and White Splatter (ltd to 100).
